TS Housing Minister Refutes Congress Charge

Hyderabad, March.15: Minister for Housing Indrakaran Reddy refuted charge by the Congress that the TRS Government was denying loan waiver for those who were benefited by Indiramma Housing Scheme promoted by the erstwhile Congress regime.

Replying to a question on waiver of housing loan of weaker sections in the Telangana Assembly on Wednesday, the Minister for Housing revealed that an amount of Rs.3920.56 crores was waived for 29,64,435 beneficiaries. He stoutly refuted the charge by Congress member D.K. Aruna that the loans of Indiramma Housing Scheme beneficiaries were not waived so far. He asserted that loan waiver was being made applicable to all  eligible beneficiaries of Indiramma Housing Scheme. Also it was wrong to state that the bills of contractors who had built the Indiramma Houses were not being cleared.

Lashing out at the erstwhile Congress regime for forcing the employees of the Housing Board to innumerable hardships due to various misdeeds, Indrakaran Reddy said that construction of the double bed-room houses as promised by the TRS Government has already begun in various districts and the same would be handed over to the beneficiaries much earlier.
