As per the film industry records, ‘Magadheera’ remained as the top grosser of Tollywood until few years ago. However, the No. 1 position was changed for several times. At present ‘Bahubali’ occupied the top slot and second position was achieved by Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s re-entry movie ‘Khaidi No. 150’. However, there are indications that the second place would soon face a change and Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movie ‘Katamarayudu’, which is slated for release by the end of this month, would cross the collection range of ‘Khaidi No. 150’ and Chiranjeevi is likely to be dethroned from the second place soon, opine the film trade analysts.
It is predicted that Sharrat Marar is planning to cross the Rs 100 crore gross collections within the first one week and releasing film in as many screens as possible. The film has expectations at very high levels and in case if it gets a positive talk, it is very easy for the movie to erase the records of ‘Khaidi No. 150’. It may be reminded here that ‘Katamarayudu’ had grabbed the satellite rights, which are more than ‘Khaidi No. 150’ and there are indications that the film would create more and more records in future. The film is being directed by Kishore Pardhasani @ Dolly, and Shruti Hassan is pairing up opposite Pawan Kalyan. The film is the remake of a successful Tamil film in which Ajith played the lead role. In case, Pawan Kalyan crosses the record to achieve the second place grabbed by Khaidi No. 150, the film in the combination of Mahesh and Murugadoss has all chances to erase the position very soon.
