TRS announces candidates for MLC seats

Hyderabad, March.5: TRS President and Chief Minister K ChandrashekharRao on Sundayannounced the names of TRS candidates for the legislativeCouncil elections andto those seats, which will fall vacant shortly. ANotification has been issuedfor three seats under the MLAs quota, oneseat each for the Teachers’Constituency and Local bodies. There are twoseats to be filled up under theGovernor’s quota. Under the MLAs quota, the Chief Minister  declared TRS candidates.  They  are Vullolla Gangadhar Goud,  Aliminati Krishna Reddy and  MynampalliHanumanth Rao. The CM has  decided to recommend the names of  DRajeshwar Rao and  Farooq Husain under the Governor’s quota.TheTRS has already supported the candidature of friendly AIMIMpartycandidate  Syed Amin-ul- Asad Jafri.

The TRS has already declared thecandidature of Katepalli Janardhan Reddy forthe MLC election underthe Teachers quota. Krishna Reddy is the brother of lateAlimineti Madhava Reddy, who was the Home Minister in the united AndhraPradesh. With this, for the current  MLCelections to seven seats, two weregiven to Muslims, two to Reddy Community, oneeach for Christians,Velamas and BCs. Though the name of CM’s political SecretarySubhash Reddy has been considered for the MLC seat, due tosociologicalEquations,  he could not beaccommodated. The CM has decided toconsider his name for the next MLCelections. On Monday , MLC candidates under the MLAs quota will filetheirnominations.
Home Minister  NayaniNarasimha Reddy, MunicipalAdministration Minister  KT Rama Rao; TRSLP Secretary  MadatiRamesh Reddy will act as thecoordinators for the MLC polls, KCR Declared.
