AP appoints new panel to study shifting of depts to Vij., Guntur

Hyderabad, Nov 7: Andhra Pradesh government Friday appointed a committee to study the ways and means of shifting all the departments to the capital region around Vijayawada and Guntur cities. The committee, headed by the AP Engineer-in-Chief (R&B), is also expected to examine as to how many buildings are needed to accommodate the departments in and around the capital region. Top officials of the departments of Municipal and Panchayati Raj will be the other members of the committee. The committee has been given a time-frame of 15 days to submit their report on the issue.
