Balayya hikes remuneration to Rs 10 cr!
The latest hot topic of the Telugu film industry is that Nandamuri Balakrishna had increased his remuneration. It may be mentioned here that Balakrishna did not hike his remuneration for the past several years and he used to demand Rs 7 crore for his character in a movie.
He did not demand more money as he doesn’t want to put more pressure on the producers. However, with the success of his recent film ‘Gauthami Putra Shatakarni’, which is also his 100th movie, Balakrishna increased his remuneration to Rs 10 crore, in the backdrop of collecting a revenue of Rs 50 crore worth share to his film.
His film had also collected good revenue from overseas. A hero of Balakrishna range could demand such remuneration and it is very common for an artiste of that stature, say the film industry sources. It is well aware that Balakrishna has an indomitable fan following among the masses.
If any of the Balakrishna films met the expectations of the fans, the amount collected by Balayya could easily be recovered from one area.
