And thus, Jyothika opts out of Vijay’s project!

Jyothika fell in love with Suriya when she was in good formas heroine. Soon both of them got married. Later she settled in life as the home-maker and kept herself off from the arc lights and shootings. After giving birth to two children, her urge to join the films made her to make a re-entry into the film industry. She started getting good offers besides star heroes.

Very recently, she got an opportunity to pair up with top hero Vijay. The film is being directed by Atlee Kumar and her character is also crucial for the movie and she is going to play a key role in the film. However, in the last minute, Jyothika announced that she wanted to opt out of the project, claiming that she could not adjust dates for the movie.

Everyone thought that Jyothika lost a very good opportunity. The film unit then looked for an alternative and considered Asin for the role and contacted her. But Asin refused the offer as she became busy as a home-maker and is in no mood to do films after getting married.

Finally, the film unit had approached Nitya Menon and she happily agreed to do the role. However, it is learnt that the reason for Jyothika opting out of the project is not the dates and she did not like the script. When she signed the agreement, she was narrated a script and later several changes were made to the script. Moreover, the film has star heroines like Samanta and Kajal and nobody will notice Jyothika despite giving a good performance.
