Bio-metric, Irish facility at Post Offices: Minister Jupally
Hyderabad, Feb 6 : Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao today directed officials concerned to prepare plan to get more funds from the Centre, besides updating online the details of employment guarantee scheme in week days. He asked to take immediate steps to provide bio-metric and Irish facilities in post offices. A delegation of Google Company met the Minster and came forward to take up a pilot project in 10 districts on digital literacy to create awareness among the women of self help groups.
The Minister held a review meeting with Chief Secretary SP Singh and Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao at Secretariat here. On the occasion he said that based on Central budget and allocations to various departments, we have to make in persistent efforts to get funds. The minister asked to take up more works under employment guarantee scheme to construct toilets at all government schools and also to provide Internet facility with speed at MPDO and other offices to offer improved services.
Krishna Rao asked Commissioner Neetu Prasad to hold meeting with bankers on payment of pensions among the beneficiaries. Aasara Pensions will be paid through Post Office in villages through using bio metric, Aasara and Aadhar seeding facility he said. Digital literacy will enable the women groups to go in for cashless transactions and the department is making efforts to that effect the minister added
