Andhra Pradesh to develop 10 more ports

New Delhi, Nov 6: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Thursday said that his government was making efforts to develop 10 additional ports to augment the four existing ones. Naidu announced this as part of the India Economic Summit here. Naidu also said public private partnership (PPP) method is being implemented to develop the infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. Naidu also said that his government had a unique challenge of building a new state capital city as well as a new state. The chief minister said he has set-up seven missions in areas like urban development, infrastructure development, industry and knowledge economy among others. He also said that he will be setting up five grids in the areas of roads, water, power, fibre optic networks and gas. With the help of these missions and grids he wanted to bring the benefits of reforms to rural areas, Naidu said.
