Baahubali 2's record pre-release business in AP/TS
S S Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 is one of the most awaited films all over the India. The movie did a superb pre-release business in AP/TS. As per the reports, it was known that the movie was sold for Rs 130 crores in Two Telugu states.
The rights were sold for almost double amount than Baahubali part 1 which was sold for Rs 66.05 crores. The first part of Baahubali minted Rs 113.5 crores share in its total run. So the Baahubali 2 needs to perform extremely well at the box office to recover this hefty amount. However, a summer release is definitely going to help the movie big time at the box office.
On the other hand, the Tamilnadu rights were sold for Rs 47 crores to Sri Green productions. Thus Baahubali 2 is doing record-breaking business all over the India and we need to wait and see how far the movie lives up to expectations of the Trade once after its release on April 28th, 2017.
