TTDP nails Kavitha’s statement that KCR alone fought for TS
Hyderabad, Jan.26 : Strongly taking exception to the comment of MP Kavitha that only KCR had played a major role for separate Telangana State, TDP Telangana State women wing president Bandru Shobharani today said before the formation of TRS, various organizations, poets, artistes, journalists and others agitated demanding separate State. Kavitha should read the history of Telangana movement, Shobharani said.
Speaking to the media at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Thursday, Shobharani said even former finance minister Chintanbaram of UPA government had acknowledged that Chandrababu Naidu had written a letter to the Centre supporting separate Telangana State. The TDP leader asked Kavitha to give an explanation as to why KCR failed to give any representation to women in his cabinet though the State has 50% women population.
State party SC cell president Botla Srinivas has reminded that TRS had electoral alliance with the TDP in 2009 because the TDP was in favour of Telangana State. Alleging that SCs in the State were cheated, Srinivas said the people would teach a fitting lesson to KCR and his party in the 2019 elections.
