Husband tells officials to bring his wife back from Kuwait

Tirupati, Nov 6: In a sensational development, a distressed man named Karunakar locked himself up in his house along with his son since last night at BTR Colony in the temple town of Tirupati and demanded that the officials should bring back his wife from Kuwait. Karunakar and Varalakshmi were married 10 years back. Varalakshmi had gone to Kuwait sometime back to earn petro dollars for the welfare of her family. She was in regular touch with her busband over telephone. However, Karunakar said it has been three months since Varalakshmi had spoken to him. Therefore, Karunakar demanded that officials should immediately bring back his wife from the Gulf nation. Failing which, he threatened to inhale LPG gas from the domestic gas cylinder and commit suicide. The suicide drama continued for well over six hours, but finally the police tactfully brought the situartion under control and removed Karunakar from his house.
