Kin pay floral tributes to late NTR on 21st death anniversary
Hyderabad, Jan.18 : TDP founder and former chief minister late N T Rama Rao’s 21st death anniversary was observed in the two Telugu speaking States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

            Nara Bhuvaneshwari, NTR’s daughter and wife of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, today visited NTR ghat and paid floral tributes to her father by garlanding his statue. She was accompanied by her daughter-in-law Brahmani and party leaders, including Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and Mothkupalli Narasimhulu. A large number of party workers, who gathered near the NTR ghat, raised “NTR Amar Hai” slogan.

Family members of late NTR, including his son actor and former member of Rajya Sabha Nandamuri Harikrishna along with his sons Kalyanram and Junior NTR also visited the NTR ghat and paid floral tributes.

At NTR statue at Rasoolpura crossroads in Secunderabad, Nandamuri Balakrishna paid homage to his father and flagged off a procession. Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna said late NTR lives in the hearts of the people for generations as he had taken revolutionary decisions and made unrelenting efforts for the uplift of the downtrodden and weaker sections. Late NTR was not a person, but a power. He also said NTR was only person, who had wrested power from then gigantic Congress party within nine months after founding Telugu Desam party. They would exert pressure on the Union government to confer “Bharat Ratna” award on NTR posthumously.
