Citing Security Concerns West Indies Reject Pak Tour For T20Is
WICB(West Indies Cricket Board) has rejected the proposed Pakistan tour after citing security reasons which were raised by FICA (Federation of International Cricketers’ Associations)
In 2009 terrorists attacked on Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore. Since then Pakistan haven't hosted any International tournament.
In the last 2 years, West Indies is the 3rd team which rejected to travel in Pakistan after Ireland and Sri Lanka.
Earlier a marathon seven week tour was planned from March to May, featuring 2-T20Is, 3-ODIs, 3-Test matches across 5 venues.
Discussions between both boards are going on to land at win-win situation.
