Some more T budget highlights

Hyderabad, Nov 5: Some more highlights of the maiden budget of Telangana include: * Major national project as part of national investment, and manufacturing zone to come up in Medak district spread over 12,365 acres. * Rs. 90 crore for ITIR projects in Hyderabad. * NIMZ could attract investments of Rs. 40,000 cr and employment for 3 lakh people and support 4.5 lakh people indirectly. * TSRTC gets Rs 400 cr to buy 1000 new buses. * 20,000 MW power to be added in next 5 years. * BHEL to set up thermal plants with a capacity of 6000 MW. * NTPC to set up 4000 MW plant at Ramagundam. * Journalists in Telanagana to get health cards. Rs. 10 cr allotted for construction of a Journalist Bhavan. * Rs. 1,000 cr investment in TSGENCO under state plan. * Rs. 100 crore earmarket for development plan for Yadagirigutta town. * All roads linking Mandal headquarters to District headquarters to be made into double lane roads. Rs. 400 cr allocated for that purpose. * Corpus fund of Rs. 300 cr for Herita Haram scheme to raise 230 crore trees in next four years. * Forest college gets 10 cr.
