BJP Sweeps MP Muncipal Polls

Bhopal: After Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Chandigarh victories in local body elections, BJP registered a massive victory in Madhya Pradesh Municipal Polls.

Out of 35 wards/seats, BJP won 30 wards and Congress ended at 4. Independent got 1 seat.

Opposition parties expected that 'Demonetisation' may raise anti-BJP wave but things happened other way round.

In December 2016, BJP registered a remarkable victory in Chandigarh Municipal Election by winning 20 out of 26 seats.

BJP Chief Amith Shah tweeted "landslide victory in Chandigarh is yet another example of people reposing their trust in BJP’s development politics and Prime Minister Modi’s vision."
