Speed Up Fiber Cable Works: KTR

Hyderabad: IT and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today stated that Telangana Fiber works should be completed along with Mission Bhagiratha project across the state. He held a high-level review meeting with working agencies and officials on the flagship water scheme and fiber works which should be taken up simultaneously at Secretariat here.

Since the water scheme is prestigious to be completed by the middle of 2018 as per CM KCR's plan, we need do complete the T-Fibre works. KTR asked the IT officials to inspect and provide technical support and see that if we can give the job of Fiber Cable to the working agencies involved in Fiber duct works. Stating that there is no funds problem as the Centre and the State Governments will release KTR also said that the works are completed on time. The state government, he said, will submit a detailed project report to the Centre in this regard.

The minister also said that T-Works project will be started by April to encourage research and development in electronics and hardware as was the case with T-Hub that helped research and startups he said. This will boost the research in the city and encourage new ideas to come to light. Officials made a visit to 12 areas for the purpose and a suitable place for T-Works projects will be announced in about 2 weeks, he maintained.
