Only 1 Lecturer Working In 11 Colleges: CM KCR

Hyderabad: The dubious methods being employed by certain private engineering colleges to exploit the fee reimbursement scheme intended for students for their own survival was narrated by Chief Minister KCR in the State Assembly on Thursday.

While replying to clarifications sought by the Opposition members on the issue of fee reimbursement dues, the Chief Minister revealed how certain institutions were trying to misuse the welfare scheme intended for students. He said during surprise checks of some private institutions it had come to light how one lecturer was on the rolls of as many as 11 institutions in different places spread over from Hyderabad to Adilabad.

Investigations revealed that some college managements have lured lecturers to be present at the time of inspections by offering them Rs One lakh and thus tried to show that there was required number of teaching staff in the institutions, he explained. KCR reiterated that the fee reimbursement scheme was intended for the students, but unfortunately, some institutions without required teaching staff and infrastructure try to exploit the scheme for their own survival. The Government would not tolerate this and would shut them down, he declared.
