ABP-CSDS Opinion Poll On UP Elections
New Delhi: Today, Election Commission announced that Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur will be held between February 4 and March 8. And the results from all five states will be known on March 11.
But all eyes are focusing on crucial UP(Uttar Pradesh) the country's most populous state, will go to the polls in seven phases: February 11, 15, 19, 23 and 27 and March 4 and 8.
Registering success in UP has become vital and inevitable for all the political parties. Political think tanks terming the 2017 UP elections as 'Semi-Finals' to 2019 General Election.
ABP News-Lokniti CSDS opinion poll on UP election reveal that ruling SP(Samajwadi Party) is expected to retain power by winning 141-151 seats of 403 constituencies, with 30% vote share. BJP with 124-134, 27%. Interestingly, the poll opined that BJP could emerge as the single largest party if SP splits, BJP may stand with 158-168 seats & 27% vote share.
