Vizag's metro rail to cover 30km in first phase

Visakhapatnam, Nov 4: Metro rail in Visakhapatnam will cover 30km in the first phase, Principal Advisor to AP Metro Rail E. Sreedharan said on Tuesday. The metro rail expert said the first phase will be completed in 3 to 4 years time. Sreedharan inspected the proposed route of the metro rail along with officials of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, VisakhapatnamUrban DevelopmentAuthority and Traffic Police. Speaking to press persons, he said a team of experts from New Delhi will shortly visit Visakhapatnam to survey the metro rail route and they will submit their report to Andhra Pradesh government in six months from now. He also said that he would be discussing the technical and financial implications of the project with the officials today and tomorrow.
