Leaders, People Pay Homage to PV Narasimha Rao
Hyderabad: People and Leaders from all walks of life today paid homage and offered floral tributes to late PM PV Narasimha Rao on the occasion of his 12th death anniversary at PV Ghat on the Necklace Road.
Congress Party Tweeted "We pay tribute to former Prime Minister P.V Narasimha Rao on his death anniversary."
Pamulaparti Venkata Narasimha Rao, popularly known as PV was born on 28th June 1921 in a Niyogi agrarian family to P.Sitarama Rao and Rukminiamma couple. He was brought up in Vangara Village of Bheemadevarapalli mandal of Karimnagar dist in Telangana.
PV Narasimha Rao served as 9th Prime Minister fo India from 1991 to 1996. He was the first PM from South India, hailed as "Father of Indian Economic Reforms" for architecting economic reforms in 1991-92.
Even though it is a minority government, with his visionary attitude and 'Chanakya' strategies he comfortably steered tough political and economic legislations.
Former TamilNadu K.Rosiah, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatraya, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari, Assembly Speaker Madhusudana Chary, Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ex MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, Geetha Reddy, V. Hanumanth Rao etc paid their homage to PV.
