'Mission Bhagiratha' Water To Wanaparthy By March
Hyderabad : Mission Bhagiratha Vice Chairman Vemula Prashant Reddy today directed the officials of Wanaparty district to complete drinking water works by January 15 and supply potable waters to every household by the end of March next year.

Speaking at a review meeting with officials of Wanaparty and Suryapet district on the flagship program of Mission Bhagiratha on Thursday, Vemula Prashant Reddy said the works should be expeditiously completed as per priority being offered by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He warned that serious action will be taken against dereliction on the part of the officials to complete the works.

Prashant Reddy expressed displeasure at the tardy pace of works by the executing agency and asked the officials to expedite the process of completing Wanaparty Grid works by January 15. ENC Surender Reddy, Chief engineers Kripakar Reddy, Vijaypal Reddy, OSD Satyapal Reddy and members of Agency attended the meeting.

Increase in labour force, procurement of material component will go hand in hand and the government offered adequate funds. He also opined that works at Suryapet are at low pace and laying of pipes should be taken up now as the farmers will not sow crops now. Prashant Reddy said there are many tribal hamlets (Lambadi Thandas) in Suryapet district which should get drinking waters as per schedule. KCR was dreaming to offer safe drinking water to such villages and hamlets, he said and expressed hope that the work agencies will cooperate for the speedy completion of the works.
