No School Bags till Classe 2 @ CBSE affiliated schools

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has directed its affiliated schools to ensure that students till class two do not carry school bags. It also restricted the number of books need to be prescribed from classes 1 to 8. In a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Human Resource Development Upendra Kushwaha told the above information. Minister said both Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have taken series of steps to reduce weight of school bags and curriculum load. Minister Kushwaha said " In its latest circular dated September 12, 2016, it has advised educational institutes/schools to take all the possible measures to keep the weight of school bag under control,”
