Kalwakurthy Congress, TDP leaders join TRS

Hyderabad, July 10: Leaders from Congress and Telugu Desam are on defection spree into the ruling TRS in the state. Apparently expecting green pastures the leaders of the two parties from Kalwakurthy of Mahabubnagar district today joined the TRS at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Sunday. Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao welcomed MPTCs, Sarpanches and other leaders with traditional pink party shawls. Speaking on the occasion, the minister maintained that the leaders from other parties are attracted to welfare schemes and development programs being implemented by the government. Since the state government planning to transform it into golden Telangana the leaders are joining the force he said. Rao alleged that the previous governments deceived people to offer nine-hour power supply to agriculture activity. However the TRS Government successfully addressed the power crisis and supplying nine-hour power to farmers besides focusing on welfare, he claimed.
