Rs 300 crore for TSRTC: CM

Hyderabad, June 23: To overcome the burden of loans, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the Finance department to give an immediate financial assistance of Rs 300 crore to the TSRTC. At a review meeting with Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, TSRTC Chairman S Satyanarayana, Managing Director J V Ramana Rao at camp office, KCR asked the officials to take steps to provide Rs 300 crore loan to TSRTC to purchase new buses as part of strengthening its fleet. Since the government was extending all support, the officials and staff of the RTC should work in coordination to travel on growth path and make benefits, KCR said. He also asked them to make timely payment of funds of Rs 500 crore to the TSRTC as it was offering concession passes to various sections. Also by offering Rs 198 crore to the RTC from GHMC, the former can overcome the debt problem of Rs 700 crore, he added.
