Congress vows to scrap Gutta's MP membership
Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh was on Thursday angry with the defection of Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Nalgonda MP, to the TRS. He said the party would ensure that Sukhender's membership was scrapped under the Anti-Defection Act.
Digvijay, who is touring Telangana, reached Adilabad on Wednesday night. He was received by district Congress committee presdient Maheshwar Reddy and former minister C. Ramachandra Reddy.
Referring to thre TRS rule, he described it as anti-people. He said Narendra Modi rule in Delhi and K. Chandrasekhar Rao rule in Telangana looked similar. He pointed out that the members of the Mala and Madiga communities did not get representation in the government. So did women, who were also absent from the ministry.
There's confusion about Gutta's joining the TRS. He did not sport the pink upper cloth, while Gutta actively presented his followers to KCR for the symbolic invitation for formally joining the TRS with pink cloth.
