Narendra Modi responds on Rajan issue
Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded for the first time on the issue of continuation of Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan, whose term expires in September this year, in the post. When a reporter of The Wall Street Journal asked about the decision of the government on Rajan, he said that it was an administrative issue and the media did not need such an attention on it. It is known that BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has been strongly insisting on the removal of Rajan. He already wrote two letters to the Prime Minister in which he said that Rajan should be removed from the post as he was facing some allegations. On the other hand, netizens are saying that keeping him in the post will do good to the system. It is known that Rajan expressed his opinions on several issues directly.
