Complete land registration : KCR to Collectors
Hyderabad, May 23: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the district Collectors to solve all land disputes across the State and correct the records. He also asked the Collectors to take severe action against negligent and greedy revenue officials, who indulge in corrupt practices.
Addressing the Collectors at MCHRD here on Monday, KCR said the assigned lands, which were encroached by others, should be handed over to the beneficiaries or the government would take them back. The CM also asked the district Collectors to complete registration of the lands still continuing on ‘sada-by-namas’. The farmers were not registering their lands, which they purchased through ‘sada-by-nama’, due to lack of money or lack of awareness.
When they were going for registration after 20 to 30 years they were facing a lot of troubles. KCR asked the Collectors to register the lands, which were purchased on ‘sada-by-namas’ from June 2 to 10. The officials have to register lands less than five acres and purchased through ‘sada-by-namas’ before June 2, 2014 and change the name. The officials have to upload the registration details in computers after the registration for eight days.
The officials were indulging in irregularities to mutate the lands in the name of their heirs. The officials were not doing work without demanding and accepting bribe. The Chief Minister asked the officials to complete the work within 10 days and send the same to the Collectorate on 11th day. The Revenue officials should disclose objections if there are any on the day the farmer applied for mutation. The officials must educate the applicants if they were uneducated and didn’t know about the process and not to take money from farmers. The officials have to complete the name change within 15 days after the registration of the land sale. The details have to be sent to the Collectorate on 16th day. Special officer should be appointed to look after these affairs.
Some 25 lakh acres of land was assigned to poor across the State. But the land was not in the hands of beneficiaries. Most of the land was not in use. The distribution of land earlier was not in scientific manner. The beneficiaries should be benefited when three acre land was given to the beneficiaries. At the same time, the land assigned to the beneficiaries was not cultivatable and the aim was not fulfilled. KCR asked the officials to change such a situation and collect the details of the land before June 30. The assigned land, which was in the hands of others, should be resumed and distributed among beneficiaries now, the Chief Minister said. He also asked the Collectors to complete the process of registration of lands from June 2 to 10 in rural areas and not in HMDA and municipal areas.
Deputy Chief Ministers Mahmood Ali, Kadiam Srihari, Ministers—Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Etela Rajender, Indrakaran Reddy, government chief whip Rajiv Sharma, CCLA Commissioner Remand Peter, senior officials of various departments, collectors and joint collectors participated in the meeting.
