Tirupati Mahanadu to focus on bifurcation blues

Hyderabad, May 22: Telugu Desam senior leader and former minister Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu today said that the regular three-day Mahanadu program will be conducted at Tirupati from May 27 to 29 and will take stock of bifurcation related issues and development of Andhra Pradesh. Talking to reporters here on Sunday he said that for the first time after bifurcation, the TD supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to conduct the Mahanadu at his home district. He called upon the rank and file to participate in huge numbers and make the foundation day of the party a grand success. Referring to special status, he said that they will go with the BJP at the Centre in a friendly manner avoiding any fight as it was reported in a section of media. He said that the TD is in opposition in Telangana state and will wage fight on peoples’ issues. Naidu also stated that the Chandrababu Government is for the welfare of the people. The two year term of the TD after the bifurcation rose to become a national party being headed by Chandrababu and Nara Lokesh being its general secretary, he remarked. He admitted that there are issues need more focus in Mahanadu are funds, water allocation and resources among two Telugu States. The TD and BJP combine helped Narendra Modi become Prime Minister and routed the Congress, he added.
