Krishnaiah demands KCR to announce BC policy

Hyderabad, May 22: National BC Welfare Association president and Telugu Desam MLA, R Krishnaiah today demanded that the State Government announce BC policy on Telangana Formation Day to be celebrated on June 2. Addressing the media here on Sunday, the BC leader demanded that the TRS Government announce its BC policy on June 2. He also accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of adopting “dictatorial” attitude towards the BC community. “Though two years elapsed, the TRS government has failed to give clarity on the much-trumpeted KG-to-PG Education Scheme and sanction 500 schools for BCs in the State. The TDP legislator also charged the Chief Minister with stalling development of the BCs, who needed consistent support from the government. “We will intensify our protests if the government continues to show discrimination against the BCs. The BCs will launch awareness programs from village level to towns on May 26. The State government will face the wrath of the BCs if it failed to implement schemes to benefit them by shunning partisan attitude towards their community.
