Anurag Thakur elected as new President of BCCI
Anurag Thakur, the secretary of BCCI, is elected unanimously as its president on Sunday. He is the youngest president in the history of the cricket board. In the special meeting of the board, only Anurag filed his nomination for the post and so thus he will be the new president of BCCI. The 41 year Anurag is a three time MP from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh and is the son of state former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal. As the present president Shashank Manohar quit the post to be elected as ICC President, the election for the post became necessary.
