Film Stars Mukesh, Ganesh win in Kerala, Sreesanth bowled out

Even the Communist-ruled Kerala has fallen for film stars. Thus the entire South now appears more influenced by film stars than political leaders. MGR of Tamil Nadu started the trend. NTR followed it up in the combined Andhra Pradesh. Rajkumar was Kannada superstar who alone kept away from politics, but had much influence on political leaders in Karnataka. Now, Kerala too is falling in line. Malayalam film heros Mukesh and KB Ganesh won in this assembly election. Sreesanth, the discredited cricketer-turned-actor, too, was expected to win the election, but was bowled out. Sreesanth was a bid draw with the people during the campaigning. The people have annoyed him with selfie-taking wherever he went. He is said to be trailing in the Thiruvananthapuram constituency. Kerala is about to witness a change in the ruling coalition from the UDF to the Left Democratic Front. Malappuram and Ernakulam went with the UDF, but Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Cannanore had voted for the LDF. The LDF tally is expected to touch the magic figure of 100 seats.
