Vijay Mallya offender in 15 cheque bounce cases: GMR

Kingfisher Airline chief Vijay Mallya is a serial cheque bouncer. The GMR group, which is responsible for the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, has filed a cheque-bounce case against Vijay Mallya given in connection with the use of the airport facilities by Kingfisher Airlines. The group had filed a case with the Erramanzil court in Hyderabad, which had issued a non-bailable warrant against Vijay Mallya. In the resumed hearing on Thursday, counsel for the GMR group said the group was not sure whether Mallya would return to the country and attend the hearing. He also revealed to the court that Mallya was an offender in 15 cheque bounce cases. The sum inovlved in the 15 cheque bounces was Rs 22.5 crore.
