Amaravati Town Planner makes fast buck of Rs 4 cr in 6 months
The Buddhist site of Amaravati is slowly showing what the Capital Regional Development Authority (CRDA) is all about. One of its officials, Town Planning Officer Rehman, had within 6 months of office amassed a wealth of Rs 4 crore.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau has raided the premises of Rehman to unearth the corruption going on in the name of capital development. The bureau raided 11 premises belonging to Rehman in Guntur, Vijayawada, Kurnool and Visakhapatnam.
The raids unearthed foreign currency in the Amaravati town planner's premises. The ACB also seized valuable documents. The raids are continuing in the premises of Rehman and his close relatives.
