YCP Dy Leader Jyothula joins TDP at elaborate ceremony
Deputy leader of the YCP, Jyothula Venkata Apparao (Nehru), found it auspicious to join the ruling TDP on Monday evening in an elaborate programme in Vijayawada. Jyothula Nehru arrived at the venue A1 convention hall in Vijayawada with TDP president Kala Venkatrao. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu greeted Jyothula with the yellow upper cloth of the party, formally enlisting him in the TDP. Along with Jyothula, 36 Sarpanchs, 43 MPTC members and three ZPTC members also joined the TDP. The TDP enlisting ceremony continued for long amidst speeches by all notable leaders. Jyothula's kin, speaking on the occasion, thanked the people of the Jaggampet constituency in East Godavari district for their support in the move to join the ruling TDP. They also vowed to ensure all the 19 assembly seats in the constituency for the TDP in 2019 poll.
