Cabinet berth for Nara Lokesh in AP Ministry?

Nara Lokesh, TDP principal general secretary, is likely to get a Cabinet berth in AP. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was wanting his son to get a Cabinet berth at the Centre, but that was not to be. The Centre has so far denied the State the Special Category Status. Also the Centre was beguiling the State into believing that it was doing great by giving it funds, passing off even usual Central allocations as special. As a result, the people of AP are not happy. So the Chief Minister cannot be seen to be going out of the way to plead with the Centre for a berth for his son in the Narendra Modi Ministry. The best option is to take Nara Lokesh into his own Cabinet. Also a reshuffle of the ministry is overdue with eight YCP MLAs joining the TDP. The younger generation TDP leaders have already suggested to inducting Lokesh in the Cabinet. Many have volunteered to step down to create ministerial space for Nara Lokesh. He is tipped to get IT, among other things. A close look reveals that Telangana counterpart, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has his son, K. Taraka Ramarao, in his Cabinet. There is thus no contradiction if a Chief Minister has his son in his Cabinet. The family trick had, however, eluded the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He did not accommodate his ambitious son into the Cabinet. Soon after YSR's untimely death, the whole lot of the Congress MLAs had backed YS Jaganmohan Reddy to succeed his father. But the Congress leadership at that time did not want a rebellious leader in the State.
