Kanhaiya raises slogans at HCU campus after being denied entry

Jawaharlal University Students Union president Kanhaiya Kumar was on Wednesday not allowed inside the Hyderabad Central University campus at Gachibowli following the denial of entry to him by the University Vice-chancellor, Apaprao, who barred outsiders. The police, who were present in strength at the HCU gate, barred Kanhaiya Kumar from entering the campus. Earlier, leftist students made it appear as if the authorities had allowed Kanhaiya and ten others to enter the campus. They were assuring all those present at the gate about the permission being received anytime for quite some time. In the event the permission was not received and Kanhaiya and others demonstrated at the gate itself. Kanhaiya and the students raised slogans demanding a Rohith Vemula Act and equated the research scholar with Sardar Shahid Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. The patriots had achieved martyrdom during the British rule. Earlier, Kanhaiya, Rohith's mother and brother were seated in a car parked at the university gate. They were in the car even as the permission was not forthcoming.
