TDP Govt to appeal for review in Roja case
While appearing to be bowing to the AP Hight Court interim order, the TDP government wants to convey it to the court that the RK Roja suspension for 1 year issue is a jurisdictional one, in which the courts have a little say in the State Assembly matter. While preparing a case to appeal for a review in the Roja suspension issue on Thursday itself, the government is of the view that the courts cannot intervene in the State Assembly matter in the garb of procedural mistakes by the House, as had happened in the case of the YCP MLA. Top come to the point, the government wants to tell the court that while lifting the suspension it would challenge the court's interim order. The courts cannot sit in judgement over legislature decisions. While Roja had a case to get the suspension lifted, the Assembly too had a case to slap the suspension to stay on Roja. The government case would be on these lines, it is learnt.
