Indebted small farmer's wife puts a big question on Vijay Mallya

A farmer's wife posed a big question to the banks, the police, the courts and the governments. She asked a simple question, while her husband was beaten by the police for non-payment of a small amount of a bank loan in the face of Nature's adversity, what are you going to do about Vijay Mallya who had evaded the repayment of thousands of crores of rupees? And she demanded an answer. A farmer in Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu, Balan, had borrowed Rs 3.4 lakhs from a bank for buying a tractor. He had got a tractor and paid back bulk of the amount. He owed Rs.1.4 lakhs to the bank. He failed to pay two instalments becasue of receiving poor harvest. The police entered the scene and beat up Balan after registering a case against him. They also attached the tractor for non-payment of two instalments! Balan was severely injured. Balan's wife grew angry. Because we are poor, you (police) beat us up severely. Vijay Mallya, who had cheated the banks of thousands of crores, had got away. What are you going to do about Vijay Mallya? The police took cognizance of her plight. They merely said we are acting at the behest of the court and seized the tractor. Has Amma Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister, listened to Balan's wife?
