My Lord, this is injustice, Jagan tells Chandrababu
Jaganmohan Reddy, YCP leader, showed his mettle as a legislator in the State Assembly on Wednesday when he firmly held on to the charge that the ruling TDP leaders had apportioned the capital region lands among themselves.
Jagan battling alone on behalf of the oppostion took on the TDP leaders, one by one as they intervened, eventually going for the Chief Minister himself.
The Chief Minister tried to reject the Jagan charge by saying when 54,000 acres of land pooling was done for the capital construction, where was the question of `inside trading.'
Jagan retorted with the repartee that the Chief Minister did not know the phrase INSIDER TRADING.
Having come to know that the capital was going to be Amaravati in advance, the TDP leaders had purchased lands contiguous to the 54,000 acres that the Chief Minister was talking about.
Jagan said, `Speaker Sir ... The problem there (Amaravati) is this. The benamis (TDP leaders) had purchased the lands and got the particular lands bypass both land acquisition and land pooling, whereas their neighbours' lands were either acquired or pooled. This is injustice, My Lord.'
The address of the Chief Minister as `My Lord' got the reward of Jagan's mike being cut.
When Jagan asked the Speaker, why his mike was cut, he was told, `Whenver you get the mike, you are indulging in wild allegations. How can you do that? The man at the receiving end also must reply. So Please sit down.'
