Special Court sends summonses to Maran brothers

The Delhi Special Court has sent summonses to the Maran brothers to appear before it on July 11 in connection with the Aircel-Maxis case. Summonses have been sent to former Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran, his brother Kalanidhi Maran, and Kalanidhi's wife, Kaveri. Along with them, summonses have also been sent to SAFL and Sun Direct companies. The court said in the summonses that all those facing money laundering charges in the Aircel-Maxis agreement should appear before it on July 11. Earlier, the Special Court went into the Enforcement Directorate chargesheet. The ED concluded that the Maran brothers had put pressure on selling Aircel shares to Maxis company. The summonses followed.
