BJP seeks to go it alone in Telugu States: Krishnam, Kishan not happy with TDP

Dissensions in AP between the ruling TDP and the BJP began after a bid to break away from the alliance in Telangana. In Telangana, the BJP finds the TDP a millstone owing to the latter party being treated as Andhra regional one. Kishan Reddy, Telangana BJP chief, was to convey the matter to the party leadership. Now former BJP Union Minister Krishnam Raju stated on Friday that the TDP was preventing an independent growth of his party in AP. It was trying to pass off all Central help for the State as its own hard work. Speaking at Bhimavaram, Krishnam Raju announced that there would be a massive meeting in Rajamahendravaram on March 6 to be addressed by BJP president Amit Shah. He charged that before the BJP came to power, the Congress rule for 10 years had halted the country's progress in many areas. District BJP unit president Bhupati Srinivas Varma stated that despite the alliance, the TDP leaders were harassing BJP workers.
