Jagan tours Cuddapah doing loyalty test
Alerted by reports that three more of his MLAs in his stronghold of Cuddapah were about to bid goodbye to the YCP to join the ruling TDP, party chief Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday invited all his party leaders in the district to talk them about their respective problems.
The YCP MLAs of Cuddapah met party chief to reassure Jagan that they would not leave the party. Jagan was at present touring Cuddapah district in a bid to keep the party flock together.
The YCP MLAs alleged that the TDP was deliberately floating such rumours to create confusion in the YCP ranks.
Jagan, who had arrived from Delhi, landed in Hyderabad on Wenesday night. He immediately rushed to Cuddapah to keep the stock together.
Jagan partymen had earlier boasted that with the defection of just 21 MLAs from the ruling TDP, they could bring down the government. But with five YCP MLAs and one MLC leaving the party, the YCP is on high alert to prevent its citadel of Cuddapah from crumbling.
