Rail travel homely, family affair soon

Railway travel is going to be homely, family affair sooner than later. Proposed facilities to be provided in the express trains are fully-furnished coupes. The furnishings will include DTH TV for unfiltered viewing, gaming consol for smart kids, wi-fi, internet and regular catering services to the coupe. The aim of the railways is to make train service better than plane service. These provisions are among the proposals being made in the Railway Budget 2016-17 by Minister Suresh Prabhu. The idea of the Railway Minister is to make use of the Rs.10000 crore corpus fund for industrialists announced by the Central government. The ancillary industries of the railways, apps makers for rail users and the youth having innovative ideas for the railways are expected to benefit from these seed funds. The coupe facilities will be available for the First AC passengers. Like the previous railway ministers such as Madhu Dandavate and Lalu Prasad Yadav added the facilities down the line, these would be extended to Second and Third AC eventually. To start with, the proposed coupes would have DTH TV facility.
