Fire breaks out in Chandrababu Secretariat

Fire broke out in the office of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the Hyderabad Secretariat on Friday. The Fire Brigade personnel extinguished the fire in the L Block of the Secretariat in Hyderabad allotted to the AP Chief Minister. As Chandrababu has his office in the top floor of the building, the fire in the ground floor caused tension all round. The Fire Brigade personnel were frantic in putting out the fire in the ground floor itself. An electrical short circuit is said to be the cause of the fire. After the fire was put out, everyone around breathed a sigh of relief. It was on Wednesday that Chandrababu had laid the foundation for a temporary Andhra Secretariat at Velagapudi in Guntur district. That was expected to readied by June when the AP staff was expected to shift to their region. Everything about AP Secretariat appears to be uncertain, fire and other such dangers apart. While the Chief Minister said the Velagapudi Secretariat was a temporary one, his Ministers had emphasized that it would be a permanent one. The Cabinet would have to speak in one voice to give confidence to the people. Short circuits and fires will only add to all-round uncertainty.
