Protest over RGV bringing in Rajiv Gandhi role

Noted film-maker Ramgopal Verma is courting fresh conrtroversy by introducing the character of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi into his crime thriller, `Vangaveeti.' Congress leaders in Visakhapatnam, who are as sensitive about Rajiv as the Gandhi family, have reacted strongly protesting against RGV's move. They have presumed, based on experience, that Rajiv Gandhi would not be shown in good light and are protesting. The Congressmen have written a request letter to the Superintendent of the Mental Hosopital in Visakhapatnam to admit RGV, alleging he had gone off the rocker. They want him cured in the hospital. The indifferent RGV has his stock answer for such controversies. He was not making films for film goers alone but his own satisfaction. If they want they could see `Vangaveeti', if they don't that was not his problem. Already RGV released an audio containing a song about the sensitive casteism issue. If this song were popularized, people were sure that it would lead to a caste war in Vijayawada. Already the Kapu unity roar in Tuni had shown the scale of violence to which they could rise. It's a matter of surprise why the Congress does not believe in the Censors and democratic methods to do the needful.
