No arrest, ACB tells Jerusalem

The Stephenson case has taken an interesting turn with the ACB, which is pursuing the bribery case, clearly telling Accused 4 Jerusalem Muthiah that he will not be arrested in connection with the case. The ACB, which handed over the notice to Jerusalem in his residence at Uppal on Friday night, made it clear that he would not be arrested. On the contrary, he could appear before the court with his lawyer. The ACB is stated to have brought in this provision because Jerusalem had disappeared to Coastal Andhra, as he was made accused in the case. To avoid a repeat by Jerusalem, the ACB police have included the no-arrest provision. Last time, Jerusalem had approached the High Court from AP and got a bail. Only after he received the bail that he returned home. It's possible that ACB could not arrest him because of the bail. After all, nobody can be punished twice for the same offence.
