Katti Padmarao challenges CM on casteism
Dalit Mahasabha founder secretary Katti Padmarao on Thursday said that he was proud to be born in the community of the founding father of the Indian Constitution Dr BR Ambedkar.
Padmarao was reacting to a poser by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu whether one would be happy to be born as Dalit.
Demanding the arrest of the Chief Minister for insulting the Dalits, Padmarao pointedly questioned the ruling TDP whether it was not responsible for the caste discrimination in the State.
The Dalit leader said in Guntur he was prepared for a debate on the issue of which community was looting how much from society. He challenged the ruling TDP for an open debate on the issue. If he were defeated, he would part with Rs.100 crore, but if the Chief Minister was on the losing side, would he be prepared for giving up the office, he asked.
Padmarao is a great Telugu speaker. He could quote chapter and verse in the Telugu literature. This is an acknowledged fact.
