Ishrat Jahan was LeT suicide bomber, David Headley confirms

Truth is bitter. Continuing his deposition before the Terrorist and Anti-Disruptive Activites Act court in Mumbai, David Headley, the Pakistan-US double agent, revealed to the court on Thursday that Ishrat Jahan, who died in an encounter, was a woman member of the Lashkar-e-Toyyiba. The court asked the terrorist double agent to name a suicide bomber of his choice belonging to LeT, the double agent spontaneously uttered `Ishrat Jahan.' He was given the choice of naming one suicde bomber, and that was Ishrat Jahan. Ishrat Jahan, then 19 years old, was killed in an encounter in Karnataka by the Gujarat police in 2004. At that time, interested parties, of which there are any number in India, had said the encounter was fake and the girl was innocent. The interested parties have little regard for facts. Ishrat belonged to Mumbai, had married her father's friend whom she converted to Islam, and was on the run to Karnataka. In the encounter, her husband, one Pillai, and two others were also killed. Must a double agent, wanted for terrorism in Denmark and India, confirm to us Ishrat Jahan was a suicide bomber out to carry out killing of innocents? A people should reasonably have faith in their system, or they will bring peril to the others.
