RGV says his last after every Telugu Film

Noted crime film-maker Ramgopal Verma has announced that `Vangaveeti' film will be his last in Telugu. But what he does not say it is going to be a blockbuster. Considering the decades of `Vangaveeti' history, the film would be a guaranteed success. The timing of the film, when the Kapus agitation exploded on the scene, would make it a must-see film for the film goers. Against the background, the film fans are taking RGV's assertion of `last Telugu film' with more than a pinch of salt. There is so much crime in Andhra, on which so many films can be made. Call money racket quickly comes to mind. While in real life it had caused untold suffering to people, the Call Money racket has all the filmy elements that any film-maker would jump at. Ramgopal had made a similar claim after a row with the Censors after `Govinda, Govinda' and went away to Bollywood. There he achieved success with Hindi films `Rangeela,' `Satya', `Company' and `Sircar.' Of late, RGV has been exclusively been making Telugu films such `Rakta Charitra' and `Killing Veerappan'. Then Ramgopal made `Anaga Anaga Okaroju' in Telugu. Now that `Vangaveeti' is poised for keen interest all round, RGV might make more Telugu films in a row.
