TDP MLAs quit and join TRS in City

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections have become some kind of a watershed for strengthening of the ruling TRS in Telangana and wiping out of the remnants of the TDP in the GHMC area. Qutbullapur TDP MLA KP Vivekanand Goud has since joined the ruling TRS. Rajendranagar MLA Prakash Goud has already reached the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's Camp Office in order to join the ruling party. The only TDP winner in the GHMC elections, Mandadi Srinivasarao, of the KPHB division, also conveyed to a TRS minister on Monday night that he would be joining the TRS on Tuesday. Talking to newsmen at the Camp Office, Vivekanand Goud said KCR's leadership was being strengthened by people because of TRS welfare programmes. This was made abundanatly clear after the GHMC polls. All the people had moved to one side (of the TRS), he added.
